ঢাকা: আপত্তিকর ছবি ও তথ্য উপাত্তসহ জঙ্গিবাদ, সন্ত্রাসবাদ ও সাম্প্রদায়িকতার উদ্দেশ্যে ব্যবহৃত পোস্ট অপসারণে তাৎক্ষণিক ব্যবস্থা নেওয়ার আশ্বাস দিয়েছে সামাজিক যোগাযোগমাধ্যম ফেসবুক।
বুধবার (১১ মে) সচিবালয়ে ডাক ও টেলিযোগাযোগ মন্ত্রী মোস্তাফা জব্বারের সঙ্গে ফেসবুকের (মেটা) উচ্চপর্যায়ের তিন সদস্যের একটি প্রতিনিধিদল সৌজন্য সাক্ষাৎকালে এ আশ্বাস দেয়।
ফেসবুকের এশিয়া-প্রশান্ত মহাসাগরীয় অঞ্চলের পাবলিক পলিসি বিষয়ক ভাইস প্রেসিডেন্ট সিমন মিলনার প্রতিনিধিদলের নেতৃত্ব দেন। প্রতিনিধিদলের অন্য সদস্যরা হলেন—ফেসবুকের বাংলাদেশ বিষয়ক পাবলিক পলিসি অ্যাফেয়ার্স কর্মকর্তা সাবনাম রশীদ দিয়া এবং মিস রোজাও।
ডাক ও টেলিযোগাযোগ সচিব মো. খলিলুর রহমান এবং বিটিআরসির মহাপরিচালক ব্রিগেডিয়ার জেনারেল নাসিম পারভেজ এ সময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
ডাক ও টেলিযোগাযোগ মন্ত্রী দেশে জঙ্গিবাদ, সন্ত্রাস ও সাম্প্রদায়িকতা, নৈরাজ্য ও সামাজিক অস্থিরতা সৃষ্টিতে গুজব ছড়াতে ফেসবুক ব্যবহার করা হচ্ছে বলে প্রতিনিধিদলকে অবহিত করেন। তিনি এ বিষয়ে বিশেষ দৃষ্টি দিতে ফেসবুকের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করেন এবং কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা ব্যবহার করে আপত্তিকর উপাত্ত অপসারণ ও ব্যবহারকারীদের পরিচয় নিশ্চিত করার পরামর্শ দেন। তিনি বাংলাদেশে ফেসবুকের কার্যালয় স্থাপনেরও পরামর্শ দেন।
মোস্তাফা জব্বার ফেসবুকের সঙ্গে বার্সেলোনায় ২০১৮ সালে দ্বিপাক্ষিক বৈঠকের অগ্রগতি তুলে ধরে বলেন, বিগত দিনগুলোতে ফেসবুকের সাথে পারস্পরিক সম্পর্কের আশানুরূপ অগ্রগতি হয়েছে এবং তা অব্যাহত আছে।
তিনি বলেন, সামাজিক যোগাযোগমাধ্যমে মানুষের সংযুক্তি প্রসারিত হয়। ফেসবুক পৃথিবীর অনেক জায়গায় সাবমেরিন ক্যাবল সংযোগ দিয়ে আসছে। তিনি বাংলাদেশেও অনুরূপ সাবমেরিন ক্যাবল সংযোগ প্রদানে ফেসবুকের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করেন।
টেলিযোগাযোগমন্ত্রী ফেসবুকের কমিউনিটি মানদণ্ডের বিষয়টি বাংলাদেশের প্রেক্ষাপটে বিবেচনার জন্য বিশেষ গুরুত্বারোপ করেন।
এছাড়াও সাক্ষাৎকালে ওটিপি গাইডলাইন ও পারস্পরিক স্বার্থ সংশ্লিষ্ট বিভিন্ন বিষয় আলোচানায় উঠে আসে।
প্রতিনিধিদলের নেতা ফেসবুকের বিদ্যমান ইস্যুগুলোর বিষয়ে সর্বোচ্চ গুরুত্বের সাথে বিবেচনার আশ্বাস দেন।
প্রতিনিধিদল বাংলাদেশে ব্রডব্রান্ড নেটওয়ার্ক সম্প্রসারণ, দেশের শতকারা ৯৮ ভাগ এলাকায় ফোরজি মোবাইল নেটওয়ার্ক বিস্তার, ফাইভজি-চালু ও ফাইভ-জি স্পেকট্রাম নিলামসহ ডিজিটাল অবকাঠামো বিকাশে ডাক ও টেলিযোগাযোগ মন্ত্রীর ভূমিকার ভূয়সী প্রশংসা করেন।
প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার দূরদৃষ্টি সম্পন্ন ও প্রজ্ঞাবান নেতৃত্বে ডিজিটাল বাংলাদেশ বিনির্মাণের ধারাবাহিকতায় ডিজিটাল প্রযুক্তি খাতে বিকাশমান অগ্রগতি প্রতিনিধিদলকে অবহিত করে মন্ত্রী বলেন, গত সাড়ে ১৩ বছরে ডিজিটাল প্রযুক্তি বিকাশে বৈপ্লবিক পরিবর্তন সূচিত হয়েছে। এরই ধারাবাহিকতায় বাংলাদেশ আজ পৃথিবীর অনুকরণীয় দৃষ্টান্ত।
