পদ্মা সেতু উদ্বোধনের আনন্দঘণ মুহূর্তে দেশবাসী যখন উচ্ছ্বাসিত, তখন “নেহাব প্রবাসী জনকল্যাণ সংস্হা” কতৃক গরীব, অসহায় ও স্বাস্থ্য সেবায় পিছিয়ে পড়া মানুষ জনের জন্য “ফ্রী চিকিৎসা সেবা” এই আনন্দে মানবিক ও সামাজিক মাত্রা যোগ করে। সারাদিন ব্যাপি এই কর্মসূচির প্রথম দিন রোগী দেখেন মেডিসিন ও ডায়াবেটিস বিশেষজ্ঞ ডাঃ সৈকত সাহা, এমবিবিএস, সিডিসি (বারডেম)। এখন থেকে প্রত্যেক মাসের ২৫ তারিখে দিন ব্যাপি অভিজ্ঞ বিশেষজ্ঞ ডাক্তারের মাধ্যমে গ্রাম বাসিকে বিনা খরচে চিকিৎসা সেবা দেওয়া হবে বলে নিশ্চিত করেছেন অত্র সংস্থার প্রধান উপদেষ্টা ড. অহিবুর রহমান। সেবা নিতে আসা রোগীরা অত্র সংস্হার সমৃদ্ধি কামনা করে এবং ভবিষ্যতে যেন এইধরনের কার্যক্রম অব্যহত রাখতে আশাবাদ ব্যক্ত এবং এই মহতী উদ্যেগের প্রশংসা করেছেন। এই উপলক্ষে এক ভার্চয়াল উদ্বোধন ও আলোচনা অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়েছিল। উক্ত অনুষ্ঠানে সভাপত্বিত করেন জার্মান প্রবাসী জনাব মাহবুব আলম পাভেল, সভাপতি নেহাব প্রবাসী জনকল্যাণ সংস্থা। প্রধান অতিথি ছিলেন সুইডেনের স্টকহলম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের রসায়নের গবেষক, বিজ্ঞানী জনাব ড. অহিবুর রহমান,(প্রধান উপদেষ্টা, নেহাব প্রবাসী জনকল্যাণ সংস্থা) নান্দনিক ও মানবিক এই কাজের উদ্বোধন করবেন চীনের Sichuan University গবেষক জনাব ড. মারুফ হাসান (সহ-সভাপতি নেহাব প্রবাসী জনকল্যাণ সংস্থা) ও জনাব আবুল হক (সাধারণ সম্পাদক নেহাব প্রবাসী জনকল্যাণ সংস্থা) বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন সৌদি প্রবাসী বিশিষ্ট সমাজ সেবক জনাব মইনুল হোসেন অনু (উপদেষ্টা, নেহাব প্রবাসী জনকল্যাণ সংস্থা) ও ইতালি প্রবাসী বিশিষ্ট সমাজ সেবক জনাব মাসুদুল হক (উপদেষ্টা নেহাব প্রবাসী জনকল্যাণ সংস্থা। অতিথিরা সবায় এই মানবিuক কাজটি সবসময় চালিয়ে যাওয়ার আশা যাওয়ার জন্য দল মত নির্বিশেষে এলাকাবাসীর সহযোগিতা ও শুভ কামনা প্রত্যাশা করেন।
