চাপাইনবাবগঞ্জ প্রতিনিধি: চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জের রঘুনাথপুর সীমান্তে অবৈধভাবে অনুপ্রবেশের দায়ে ৫ ভারতীয় নাগরিককে আটক করেছে বিজিবি। এ সময় তাদের কাছ থেকে তিনটি গরু, দুটি নৌকা ও দেশীয় অস্ত্র উদ্ধার করা হয়।
শনিবার (১৭ আগস্ট) দিবাগত গভীর রাতে শিবগঞ্জ উপজেলার রঘুনাথপুর সীমান্তে পদ্মা নদীর ধারে তাদেরকে আটক করে বর্ডার গার্ড বাংলাদেশ (বিজিবি)।
বিজিবি জানায়, বাংলাদেশ-ভারত সীমান্তের জিরো লাইন অতিক্রম করে পদ্মা নদী দিয়ে আটককৃত ভারতীয় নাগরিকরা বাংলাদেশের সীমানায় অবৈধভাবে অনুপ্রবেশ করে। পরে সীমান্তে টহলরত বিজিবি সদস্যরা তাদেরকে আটক করে। এ সময় দুটি যন্ত্রচালিত নৌকায় তারা অনুপ্রবেশ করে। এ সময় তাদের কাছ থেকে তিনটি ভারতীয় গরু ও হাঁসুয়া উদ্বার করা হয়।
এ বিষয়ে প্রয়োজনীয় আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ প্রক্রিয়াধীন রয়েছে বলেও জানায় বিজিবি।
